Fine Art Print set of the Original Acrylic Painting Set with the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Milky Way: "Cosmic Serenade at the Rocks"
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is the world’s only naturally formed, acoustically perfect open-air music venue. Located in Morrison, Colorado—just southwest of Denver—the venue is geologically defined by two massive, 300-foot sandstone monoliths known as Ship Rock and Creation Rock. Controlled and operated by the City and County of Denver, the historic landmark sits at an elevation of 6,450 feet and features a fixed seating capacity for 9,525 people across 70 steep, bowl-like rows.
Colorado features some of the darkest skies and highest altitude stargazing locations in the United States, making it a premier destination to view and photograph the Milky Way. Because of its dry air and vast pockets of undeveloped mountain territory, the state is home to numerous officially designated International Dark Sky places. The galactic core is visible from March to October, with the absolute peak viewing season occurring during late summer and early autumn when the galaxy's center rises highest in the sky.
