Original Acrylic Painting "Galactic Iron" Milky Way with Boulder Colorado Flatirons
The Flatirons are a series of five iconic, slanted sandstone rock formations that rise dramatically along the western edge of Boulder, Colorado. Situated within the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, these 300-million-year-old formations serve as the premier backdrop and symbol of the city. They offer premier destinations for hiking, trail running, scrambling, and world-class rock climbing.
Colorado features some of the darkest skies and highest altitude stargazing locations in the United States, making it a premier destination to view and photograph the Milky Way. Because of its dry air and vast pockets of undeveloped mountain territory, the state is home to numerous officially designated International Dark Sky places. The galactic core is visible from March to October, with the absolute peak viewing season occurring during late summer and early autumn when the galaxy's center rises highest in the sky.
This original acrylic painting "Galactic Iron" shows the Flatirons with the milky way above in the nights sky with a colorful cool tone. This painting is on canvas and measures approximately 16 inches by 20 inches. This painting is a genuine, hand made creation.
