Original Acrylic Painting Set with Garden of the Gods and the Milky Way: "Defying Gravity" and "Sailing the Stars"
Garden of the Gods is a world-renowned 1,341-acre public park in Colorado Springs famous for its dramatic 300-foot towering red sandstone formations against the backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak. It is a registered National Natural Landmark and has been voted the #1 city park in the U.S. Balanced Rock and Steamboat Rock are two of the most iconic, adjacent geological formations located at the southwest entrance of Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Situated right along the main paved park loop, these massive red sandstone structures are a must-see for tourists and offer a unique drive-through experience where the road passes directly between them.
Colorado features some of the darkest skies and highest altitude stargazing locations in the United States, making it a premier destination to view and photograph the Milky Way. Because of its dry air and vast pockets of undeveloped mountain territory, the state is home to numerous officially designated International Dark Sky places. The galactic core is visible from March to October, with the absolute peak viewing season occurring during late summer and early autumn when the galaxy's center rises highest in the sky.
This original acrylic painting set includes two paintings, "Defying Gravity"" and "Sailing the Stars", both on canvas and measuring approximately 16 inches by 20 inches each. They show the steamboat rock and balanced rock formations with the milky way above it in the nights sky with a colorful cool tone. These paintings are genuine, hand made creations.
